And now the end is here, And so I face the final curtain. Task 23

So, this is the end of the road (and I can't let go...?) All these cheesy R'n'B songs and old standards having to do with parting ways keep popping into my head. I almost did post that Boyz to Men video up here, but I thought Frank was more deserving of the final spot on my last Webolution task. Nancy and Cari asked us for some highlights of this year's Webolution extravaganza. Here are mine, in no particular order:
I thought the task that introduced us to Creative Commons was a god-send. I have since used this not only at work but also in personal emails and projects. I'm so glad everyone at the library is now aware of the website. Free stuff that also let's people explore the creative process fits right into what we're trying to do here at the library. That being said, I was also quite excited about open source software and Open Office. I knew about Firefox, but wasn't really sure what open source meant. I'm glad I was filled in. TinyUrl and Zamar also proved to be very handy, especially here at work. And creating our own website and the Picnick and SoundSnap tasks were all really fun.
All in all, I had a lot of fun doing all 23 Webolution tasks, not to mention the fact that I learned about many new things and brushed up on some old tricks. Definitely successful. I also wanted to say how awesome I think Nancy and Cari are for making all of this run so smoothly. There was so much going on just a few short weeks ago, and I know that everyone was feeling some pressure to get everything from Webolution tasks to their evaluations done. Those two were smart enough to keep it interesting and educational (and to extend the deadline for us). So, thanks you guys. Job well done.
So, now that it's over and we have one less thing to complain about, I don't know what we're going to do with ourselves.
